Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network is excited to announce new funding received from Bell Let’s Talk Diversity Fund for our new project called “Thriving in a New Home.”
The Thriving Project will enable Mosaic to work closely with newcomer parents who are most marginalized, who are impacted by trauma, and who are now experiencing the extreme stresses caused by the pandemic. Through one-one-one home visits and group sessions (done virtually for now), and by working closely with mental health and settlement partner organizations, our diverse team will provide culturally informed mental heath promotion services and will connect isolated newcomer parents to needed resources. Our aim is to help newcomer families build resilience, heal and thrive even in these challenging times.
