Thriving in a New Home

Mental health promotion with newcomer refugee parents who are facing mental health challenges and bridging to formal mental health services when appropriate. The service model consists of 1-1 home visits, group sessions, or a combination of both (both online and in-person). Play to Learn, Learn to Play

Bookmates Play to Learn, Learn to Play is a family learning model based on the value of play. Parents explore play from many points of view, from educational, to social and emotional. Parents are encouraged to see the value of play in their children’s lives as well as their own.

Bonding with Family Bookmaking

This program provides an opportunity for parents and their children to remember and share their family history and precious memories by making a family book together. Family bonds are also strengthened with fun activities.  

Parent Child Mother Goose

Parent Child Mother Goose is a playful program where parents and children sing, rhyme and tell  stories together in English and your first language. *Please bring along your Permanent Resident card for registration. Note: no session on May 20    

My Tween and Me

My Tween and Me  program  provides parents and their tweens with the knowledge, tools and support they need during the child’s transition to adolescence. Bounce Back & Thrive (Online)

Bounce Back and Thrive Resiliency Training is for parents with children under 8 years of age. BBT helps parents build skills that increase their capacity to role model resilience in their daily interactions with their children.

Wiggle, Giggle & Munch

Wiggle, Giggle & Munch is a drop-in program that offers parents and their toddlers and preschoolers with time for active play and a healthy snack.

GrandFriends

Grandfriends – Sharing and Caring across Generations. Parents and children together with our senior friends sharing stories and memories while playing board games together.

Outdoor Play

Exploring Nature with Children through Outdoor Play An emerging topic in early childhood education is getting back to nature and incorporating elements of our natural world. Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting Facilitator Training

Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting (PDEP) has been completely revised and updated through a trauma-informed lens. Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network will offer a 5-day training for service providers who wish to facilitate trauma-informed PDEP for parents and other caregivers.
